Note To Self, Use blog more!

Apologies for the lack of posts over the past 8 months completely forget sometimes I Have this blog, that and the fact i have been out and about filming the Real Railway does not help!

NEWS: Well, the biggest news item in the world of Rail Works at the moment is the imminent Release of Railworks 3: Train Simulator 2012 and I have to say from the pictures Railsimulator.com are teasing us with, they have been working hard on graphics side of things. (Pictures can be found on their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/railsimulator)

  • Active headlights - they now have beams and you can see where you are driving in the dark (hopefully this will only be applied to high intensity headlight stock) as most BR stock only had lights as a marker to warn people they where there.
  • Rain Droplets - Rain now falls on the window, and using the wipers will clear it off, and the rain will continue to build up if you turn them off.
  • Brand new game engine - This should allow Railsimulator.com to continually add new cool features, the old engine that was built during the KUJU development of Railsimulator, has caused a lot of problems and has been the reason why the above features have not been implemented until now!

Lastly a Nice bit of Freeware:

Adam Stratton has released his Littleton to Bathcombe Railway route and i have not been out of it since I installed it, I highly recomend this as all of the free assets are included thanks to the great spirit of the developers of the assets enabling them to be included. It also requires a free building pack from Steam & Valcon Productions: http://www.vulcanproductions.net/ Perfect for Steam & Classic Diesel fans alike but also set in a way where a Modern Diesel wouldn't look out of place! its still an ongoing project so expect updates! That's it for now, Sorry it has been so long since I last updated this blog, I will try harder to update it more often! Shouldn't be too hard with the 11% fair increase on the trains from January!

Have Fun in RailWorks and speak soon!
